Joan Grayson Cohen
Joan Grayson Cohen, Executive Director
Joan Grayson Cohen, Esq., LCSW-C, Executive Director of Jewish Community Services, carries out the agency’s commitment to providing essential human services to the entire community.
Joan has been on staff at JCS (and its founding agency, Jewish Family Services) since 1993, serving as an integral part of the agency’s management team. Prior to her selection as Executive Director, she was the Director of Economic Services, overseeing the agency’s Career Center, Financial Assistance, and Service Coordination. Joan has extensive experience in human services and outreach having also worked in the sexual abuse treatment unit of Family and Children’s Services of Central Maryland, and in Protective Services at the Baltimore County Department of Social Services. Joan holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and Community Planning, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Jeffrey Greenberg
Jeffrey Greenberg, Chief Financial Officer
Rabbi Jeffrey Greenberg, CPA is the Chief Financial Officer for Jewish Community Services. In this role Jeffrey leads the Finance, Human Resources, and Client Information Services teams.
Jeffrey comes to JCS with a strong background in Executive and Financial Management of Not-for-Profit organizations. Jeffrey brings a wealth of experience in analyzing organizational needs and finding efficiencies and modernization processes.
Prior to joining JCS, Jeffrey served as the Executive Director of Magan David Yeshivah, the Director of Finance and Administration at the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center, and as Director of Education for Hillel of Greater Toronto . Jeffrey also has experience in accounting at private equity funds and was an auditor at KPMG.
Jeffrey is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Sy Syms School of Business of Yeshivah University and has Rabbinic Ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanon Theological Seminary of Yeshivah University.

Nancy Riess
Nancy Riess, Chief Operations & Impact Officer
Nancy Riess, MBA is the Chief Operations and Impact Officer for Jewish Community Services. In her role, Nancy leads Process Improvement initiatives, Business Development activities, Administration, Performance Analytics, Facilities Coordination and Planning, and ensuring Safety and Security measures are in place and in compliance.
Nancy is an experienced strategy and operations professional with a proven track record for creating and implementing transformative products/services. Prior to joining JCS, she served in strategic and programmatic development capacities at Johns Hopkins Medicine and Sheppard Pratt. She excels at evaluating and leading vital projects from concept through execution by collaborating across functional specialists like marketing, finance, risk management. Nancy is drawn to high-integrity and high-performing leadership teams with shared values and sense of mission.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned her Master of Business Administration from the Berkeley Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Jacki Post Ashkin
Community Connections
Jacki Post Ashkin - Director, Community Connections
Jacki Post Ashkin, MSW, LCSW-C, is the Director of Community Connections for Jewish Community Services. In her role, Jacki oversees Community Outreach initiatives, Prevention & Wellness programming, Access and Intake services, and the agency's Marketing and Communications. She also serves on the Jewish Community Critical Incident Response Team which provides critical incident stress defusing and debriefing for adults and children. Jacki has been on staff at JCS (and its founding agency, Jewish Family Services) since 1991. Some of her earlier agency roles included Senior Manager of Marketing and Development and Manager of Jewish Family Life Outreach Programs. Jacki has extensive experience providing clinical and psychoeducational services for individuals, couples, families, and groups. In partnership with Rabbi Nina Beth Cardin, she co-founded the innovative Shleimut program in which dedicated interdisciplinary teams of professionals address the mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of congregational communities. Before joining the organization in 1991, Jacki was a psychotherapist at the Harford-Belair Community Mental Health Center. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from The Pennsylvania State University and received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work.

Claire Fultz

Claire Fultz - Director, Mental Health
Claire Fultz, DSW, LCSW-C, CCM serves as the Director of Mental Health at Jewish Community Services in which she provides oversight to our therapy services and behavioral health treatment program. Claire is a clinically trained psychiatric social worker who has worked in the field of mental health since 2001, providing a range of services which includes psychotherapy, collaborative care, custom case management, occupational rehabilitation, crisis intervention, counseling, and coaching. She received her MSW from University of Maryland, Baltimore in clinical mental health and her doctorate from the University of Southern California with a focus on innovation for large-scale social change by eradicating social isolation, invisibility, and their harmful effects on physical and emotional health and well-being. Claire has additional specializations in Employee Assistance, Business Psychology, and Management, and has held human services leadership positions since 2010.

Atinuke (Tinu) Ogunkoya
Support Services for Individuals with Disabilities
Tinu Ogunkoya - Director, Support Services for Individuals with Disabilities
Tinu Ogunkoya is the Director of Support Services for Individuals with Disabilities for Jewish Community Services. In her role, she provides oversight of the Residential and Supported Living programs and Employment Support Services, licensed, and funded by the Developmental Disability Administration. JCS residences empower adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible and participate fully in community life. The Supported Living program provides services to adults with disabilities who wish to live independently in their own homes, with a roommate, or with family members. Tinu has extensive experience and passion for serving the Developmentally Disabled population over her 12-year career. Prior to joining JCS, she served in various capacities as Direct Support Professional to Program Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Service Coordinator and Program Director in various social services organizations mostly across the state of Minnesota. Tinu holds a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is committed to the advancement, advocacy and purposefully enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Darlene Wolff

Darlene Wolff - Director, Human Resources
Darlene Wolff is responsible for the agency’s recruitment, onboarding process, and employee management. Her goal is to secure the most talented individuals for JCS teams, ensure a seamless transition in the onboarding procedure, and support proactive employee engagement. She oversees compliance and risk management for the agency at large and creates programs to increase retention and reduce turnover. By matching employee growth programs to the staff’s strengths, her team encourages staff development both personally and professionally.
Prior to JCS, Darlene started her career with The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore where she was the Vice President of Human Resources followed by the Vice President of Risk Management for over 35 years. In addition to her current role as Director of Human Resources at JCS, Darlene has continued in a dual-role with The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore as Vice President of Risk Management, overseeing the property and casualty insurance policies, worker’s compensation, and safety and emergency procedures for the system. Darlene has over 30 years in the Human Resources sector and is a member of the Society for Human Resources and the Chesapeake Human Resources Association. Her overall goal is to make JCS stronger, safer, and to provide the best services to staff.

Michelle N. Goldberg
Community Engagement & Partnerships
Michelle N. Goldberg - Senior Manager, Community Engagement & Partnerships
Michelle Neufeld Goldberg, LCSW-C, is Senior Manager of Community Engagement & Partnerships. She develops and implements programs and cultivates community partnerships. Michelle began her social work career in 1989 at our founding agency, Jewish Family Services, during which she held several roles including as a Manager of the Special Needs Department, Supervisor of the Intake Office and Jewish Information & Referral Service, Graduate Intern Supervisor and Clinical Social Worker for immigrants resettling from the former Soviet Union.
Michelle has held clinical, groupwork and programming positions at Beth Tfiloh Community School, Kennedy Kreiger Institute, Jewish Federation of Howard County and Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area.
Michelle received her master’s degree in social work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work (Yeshiva University) and her BS from the University of Maryland.

Lisa Gorman

Lisa Gorman - Senior Manager, Career Services & Economic Advancement
Lisa Gorman is the Senior Manager of Career Services and Economic Advancement for Jewish Community Services. Lisa has over 30 years of experience in coaching and organization development consulting with specialties in talent management, organizational effectiveness, performance and change management, leadership coaching and management development. She has held various management positions primarily throughout the financial and healthcare industries including being the Director of Human Resources Planning and Development overseeing departments such as Employment Services, Organization and Management Development, and Human Resources Planning and Communications. Lisa brings her experience and expertise to her role at Jewish Community Services overseeing the integrated delivery of case management services, financial assistance, and Ignite Career Center services, which together help individuals and families achieve economic advancement and self-sufficiency. Lisa holds a B.A in Psychology from Emory University and an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.

Beth Land Hecht

Beth Land Hecht - Senior Manager, Successful Aging
Beth Land Hecht, LCSW-C, is Senior Manager of Successful Aging. In this role she oversees the delivery of services that help older adults and other vulnerable populations age safely and optimize their wellbeing. Beth previously served as the agency's Senior Manager of Community Engagement. Prior to the formation of JCS, Beth was Program Director for the Jewish Big Brother/Big Sister League from December 1998 through June 2008 and had been on the staff of Jewish Family Services for seven years, serving as Coordinator of the Jewish Outreach Network and Manager of Community Outreach. Beth received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and Community Planning in 1983 and her B.A. from the University of Maryland.

Ben Levey
Access Services
Ben Levey - Senior Manager, Access Services
Ben Levey, LCSW-C, is Senior Manager of Access Services, which includes Triage and Intake; Eldercare Consultation; and the Patient Care Connection Program. He is also a member of the Jewish Community Critical Response Teams serving both adults and children. Ben has over 32 years of clinical and case management social work experience. He began his career as a child and family therapist at JCS’s founding agency, Jewish Family Services, where he also facilitated community outreach programs and provided consultation to schools, camps, and synagogues. Because of his passion in the area of child welfare, Ben became Manager of Child Welfare Services at JFS, overseeing the foster care and adoption programs, before leaving the private sector to work in the public child welfare system. He spent 12 years as a foster care supervisor with the Baltimore County Department of Social Services. Ben has worked as a Crisis Intervention Specialist in the Northwest Hospital Emergency Department and as a member of the Baltimore County Crisis Response System's Mobile Crisis Team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Studies/Human Services and received his Master of Social Work degree from the Smith College School of Social Work.

Stacey Meadows

Stacey Meadows, Senior Manager, Client Services - Mental Health
Stacey Meadows, LCSW-C serves as the Senior Manager of Clinical Services at Jewish Community Services, where she has been on staff since 2012. Stacey is responsible for the clinical, operational, and fiscal activities within the Mental Health Department, has the joy of supervising the Child & Family Therapy team, and overseeing the agency training program for clinical Master’s-level students. Stacey’s clinical work uses a variety of holistic and creative approaches to help individuals of all ages to process complex trauma and navigate life’s challenges from a place of connection, compassion and curiosity. She received her Master's degree from New York University, and an Advanced Certificate in Child & Adolescent Trauma from University of Maryland. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher, a meditation teacher, and EMDR trained.

Jennifer Taylor

Jennifer Taylor, Senior Manager, Clinical Strategy - Mental Health
Jennifer Taylor, LCSW-C, serves as the Senior Manager, Clinical Strategy for Therapy Services at Jewish Community Services. She is responsible for the management of the clinical, operational, and fiscal activities for the mental health department and also supports the professional development of employees across departments. Jennifer’s clinical work focuses on helping individuals who experienced complex trauma as children using EMDR along with expressive therapies including play therapy, sand tray therapy and journaling. She has published multiple chapters in edited play therapy books on topics including cooperative games, group play therapy supervision and nature-based family play therapy and teaches graduate level social work and play therapy courses. She received her Master’s degree from the Florida State University in 2005. Jennifer’s clinical focus is on helping children and their caregivers have meaningful and joyful relationships while supporting the wellness and development of the professionals that serve those families.
