Building Space for Recovery in the Jewish Community
In honor of Sukkot and National Recovery Month, join us for a virtual learning session, FREE on Zoom.
Stigma around substance use disorder and addiction persists in society. It’s time for full inclusion and compassion for fellow Jews affected by this misunderstood malady.
Learn how to be an ally and help make the Jewish community a Sukkat Shalom – Shelter of Peace – for those who struggle with addiction, are in recovery, and who have lost loved ones.
- Hear three different recovery journey experiences
- Discover the connection between Sukkot themes and recovery from addiction with a short text study
- Engage with questions and lively discussion
- Leave with concrete ways to be an ally
A collaboration between HAMSA (Helping Atlantans Manage Substance Abuse) of Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta, Jewish Addiction Awareness Network (JAAN), and Jewish Community Services – Baltimore.
