Implicit biases are unconscious attitudes that influence our decisions, perceptions, and interactions, often without our awareness. These biases, which can be either positive or negative, shape how we engage with others. Microaggressions, subtle and often unintentional expressions of bias, can perpetuate discrimination and reinforce harmful stereotypes and disparities.

This interactive workshop, based on Project READY: Reimagining Equity & Access for Diverse Youth, will equip participants to recognize implicit bias, apply actionable strategies to promote inclusivity, and gain practical skills to better serve clients and meet their diverse needs more effectively.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

1. Identify and analyze implicit bias and microaggressions, providing examples of these concepts in action.
2. Explain how implicit biases are formed and analyze their impact on the lives of people of color.
3. Assess personal biases and evaluate their effects on oneself and others.
