This workshop will explore tools and resources for supporting women experiencing crises related to or impacting pregnancy. This could include an unintended pregnancy, critical events like job loss, break up, or financial setback, or miscarriage.
As a result of this training, participants will:
Examine concerns and needs underlying pregnancy crises.
Learn tools and resources to support individuals through pregnancy crises.
Explore various support services that expand choice by addressing needs.
Understand services provided by In Shifra’s Arms and how to determine when clients are appropriate to refer.
*In Shifra’s Arms is a unique Jewish lifeline helping women across the United States and across the Diaspora through unplanned pregnancy crises.
Jewish Community Services is approved by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to sponsor Continuing Education for social workers (psychologists and licensed professional counselors). Jewish Community Services maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
