We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Office Manager with exceptional organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude to join our team. As the Behavioral Health Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our clinic’s success. You will oversee administrative staff, manage day-to-day office activities, and ensure the smooth operation of our behavioral health clinic in alignment with our mission and values. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Uphold professional standards as a representative of Jewish Community Services
  • Oversee day-to-day management of clinic office activities, including scheduling, intakes, prior authorizations, benefits verification, and customer service.
  • Provide leadership, education, and mentorship to administrative staff.
  • Coordinate daily with the admin team, hold regular staff and employee supervision meetings, and monitor and approve PTO requests.
  •  Complete performance reviews, training, and address performance and ethical issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and service providers to ensure optimal client care.
  •  Develop and implement clinic clerical policies and procedures.
  • Promote customer service and positive client experience.
  • Provide backup admin coverage when necessary.
  • Assist with billing, payment posting, and A/R follow-up tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of client information.

  • Effective supervision and management abilities.
  • Relationship management and customer service orientation.
  • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and data entry.
  • Experience with EMRs and EHRs is a plus.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience required.
  •  Previous work experience in a behavioral health client-facing setting in an administrative capacity.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related human services field may substitute for behavioral health setting experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with EMRs and EHRs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  •  Full-time position with occasional longer hours, evenings, and weekend work.
  • Based out of our headquarters in Park Heights, MD, with the possibility of remote work.

Travel:

  • This position may require up to 30% travel within the region.
