Jewish Community Services is seeking a Graphic/Digital Design Intern for the Fall 2023 semester. As part of the Marketing team, the intern will report to the Graphic Designer for supervision and mentorship.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
· Provide graphic design support on program, service, and event-related collateral for web, social media, and email marketing efforts
· Translate approved graphics into Canva templates for use by non-design staff
· Assemble and edit short videos to promote programs and services of the organization
· Maintain and implement brand standards on all projects
· Collaborate with Marketing team to develop innovative content and design for program, service, and event visibility

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Advanced experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, plus Premiere or Rush)
· Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Teams
· Experience with Canva a plus
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak comfortably about design work and pitch creative ideas
· Willingness to receive and act upon feedback and critique
· Excellent time and project management skills
· Demonstrated attention to detail
· Demonstrated initiative, energy, and creativity
Education and Experience:
· Candidate will need to provide portfolio samples of graphic design and video production projects along with their resume submission.
· Advanced college coursework required in principles of graphic design/page layout and video production.
