HR Internship

Location:          Park Heights Location – Hybrid

Duration:          15-18 hours per week

Hours:              8:30-5:00 pm

Summary:  Jewish Community Services is looking for the opportunity to provide college students with useful skills and experiences required by employers when they begin seeking employment.  The internship opportunity at Jewish Community Services will help increase exposure to the daily operations in the Jewish non-profit arena.


Essential Functions:

  • Become familiar with Dayforce HRIS system
  • Handle 1-2 recruitment assignment
  • Work on HR Project – to be named at the time of internship

  • Adhere to supervisor directives

  • Arrive prior to the scheduled starting time, properly dressed and prepared to work
  • Perform all duties in a timely, accurate, honest, and professional manner


Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand HR laws and practices
  • Must basic understanding of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Appropriate appearance and telephone manner is essential
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks


Education and Experience:

  • Some college coursework required; previous internship experience is a plus.

  • Other duties as assigned


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to work on a computer
  • Sitting for a long period of time
